初めての近所工作 001: リラックス をやってみました。 最初のじっけんです。
[A quick first experiment on 初めての近所工作 001: リラックス]
やりかたは：
１：近所のたんけんと写真。よくみる空き地を囲む鉄のぼうに注目。
[Explore the neighbourhood. Focus on the metal pole structures that surround vacant lots, and demarcate parking lots and parks.]
２：スケッチ、ブレインストーミング、など。
[Sketch, brainstorm, think up some ideas. Muck around.]
(i) イスを付けたり、テーブルを作ったり。そのまま座ったり・・・ 角にかばんや缶コーヒーの置き場・・・・ 近所の人は喜ぶかな？怒るかな？
[Attach seats and tables? Sit on the bars? Add shelves in the corners for bags and canned coffee? What would the neighbours think?]
(ii) 夜集まる中学生たちのためにテーブルを作ってもいいかも・・・ それともタバコをすうおっさんの小さなベンチ？ 動かせるスツール箱やプランターでもいいかも・・・
[Build a table for the naughty junior-high kids that hang out, smoke, and eat crap at night? How about a small bench for morning smokers? Maybe a small movable box....]
(iii) 大きくて低いテーブルを作ればワークベンチにもなるし、ピクニックにも使える・・・昼寝にも最適！
[Large, low tables could be used for feasts, workbenches, sleeping and more - great! but a bit intrusive....]
(iv) 棒と棒の間にハンモック？ コンビニで買ったビールを立ち飲みしたいサラリーマンのために駅前のみちにテーブルとゴミ箱を作ればどうかな？
[How about making hammocks between the pipes. Or maybe a table and rubbish bin for tired salarymen to enjoy an end-of-day beer?]
３：何かを作ってみる・・・・ 気軽に作れそうな小さなベンチに決めた（1コインベンチづくり）。
[Make something. We decided on an easy and cheap bench that costs less than 500 Yen.]
(i) DIY・ホームセンターで500円以下で買えるクランプ（2個）と木材。
[Clamps and wood available at any DIY store.]
(ii) 少しやわらかい木材を使うとドリルなしでねじをしめることができます。
[If you use soft wood you don't need a drill. Just screw straight in to the wood.]
(iii) ベンチ部分をつける。
[Add the seat.]
(iv) トンカチが下手な人は恥ずかしがらないで。そのうち上手になれる。かも。
[Don't worry if you're crap at using a hammer... you'll get better. Probably.]
(v) できあがり？？？？
[All done! (?)]
(vi) バルコニーでつけ方の練習。
[Test out the clamps on the balcony. We noticed it could make a good shelf too.]
(vii) 適当にペンキをぬってみた。
[Add a bit of paint. Nothing flashy.]
(viii) そして近所に設置。だれか使ってくれるかな？？？
[Install it in the neighbourhood. I wonder if anyone will use it.....]
(ix) 今のところ、このおっさん以外の人は無関心。
[So far, only this weirdo has been observed enjoying a break.]
４：結果をみる。振り返る。
